All sorts of good

Hey everyone! This has been on super solid week. I shall start from the beginning.

Our killer tree we made. (:

Tuesday was p day. As you know we shopped, went to rhuddlan castle which was way bomb. Had a super good time. We worked on our Christmas tree. We emailed. While we were tracting that evening we went and welcomed Elder Humphries to Rhyl! It is so good to have him here. He is straight the man. We then saw carl and Cassie and that was super fun as usual. (:

Rhuddlan Castle. What a beaut.

Wednesday we were just finishing up comp study when I heard a knock at our door. There was Wilf Murray standing there (a member of the ward). I was surprised to see him and he said you ready to go, so I said sure. Haha we just hopped in his car with no clue what was going on. He had left a message with the wrong elders. Haha so we took a fridge with him to a less active lady. She was very grateful. So that was good. Then Wilf took us to his house and his wife gave us hot chocolate which was good. They then gave us this man to try by so we went and talked with him and his wife for like 45 minutes. They were super super nice. They didn't take a Book of Mormon but they said they'd for sure look at the website because they like Wilf so much. So that was pretty bomb. (: we did some stuff that afternoon, not really sure what haha. That night we had an appointment with Steve. He had a mate there as well. We were there for about an hour and they smoked like a whole pack of cigarettes while we were there. So I'm basically a smoker now I think. No problem.

Thursday was weekly planning which 'twas some good. We saw Yasmin that afternoon then tried by a couple of people. We then went to Mostyn. We were going to have tea with Sian and Rob but they had to cancel because Seren was vomiting all over the place. We didn't get there until about 5:30. We went to try by Peter the one who slammed the door on us last week. He was home and answered the door. We talked for a bit, and he began to cry a bit again. He said bye and started to slam the door and I was just like uh not happening. So I reached out and stopped the door before he could close it. Luckily he didn't get mad and we were able to get into his home because of it. Our mission motto is "bold as a lion" so haha me and Elder Jensen have been laughing about that quite a bit. There's gonna be somebody who's going to smack me across the face when I stop them from shutting their door. 😂 haha well anyways it went super good with peter. He is a sensitive man and has been having a really hard time for years. We told him about blessings and managed to clear a place for him to sit so we could give him a blessing. The blessing really helped him a lot and he seemed to feel better after that. We had such a good lesson with him and the spirit was really strong. He wants to be baptised so we are working towards the 7th of January. He likes the idea of a new year and a fresh start. So we are super excited. He is a good man.

After that we went and tried by this man John. He was sitting in his front room watching tv. We knocked twice and he didn't move an inch. So then with much hesitation I knocked on his window. He slowly turned and looked at me then jumped up and ran out of the room. We waited for a little while then bailed outta there. So that didn't work out all that good. 😂 haha so we were trying to figure out what time the bus would come to take us back to Rhyl. Elder Jensen walked up to this lady who was sitting in her parked car. Hahaha she locked the doors like 4 times and was about to drive off but then rolled the window a tiny bit down. Haha it was the funniest thing that has ever happened to me.

We were on the bus all by ourselves and I didn't even know what to do with myself. An empty bus messes with the mind.

Friday and Saturday we did finding and had a street display and saw people and got a couple new investigators so that was good. Sunday Peter came to church! It was so bomb to have him there. He was crying through most through most of sacrament meeting. He felt the spirit super strong and he really enjoyed being there. So that went super super good. The ward was putting on a choir concert thing that night so we invited him and he really wanted to come. He came to that as well. It was so good, pretty amazing singing. So things are going super good with Peter.

So that's pretty much all I've got for you. We will be emailing this Saturday so on Christmas Eve but we will not be emailing the Monday following Christmas. So I will talk to you again on Saturday!

Love you all have a killer week!

Leaving Rhyl?????

A tall man and a short man doing some contemplation.

Hello everybody! Hope you are all doing wonderful. (: so I guess I will get right to the point we got transfer calls and as you can tell from the subject line... elder raven will be leaving Rhyl! I however will be staying in Rhyl with my comp elder Jensen. We are super excited and looking forward to another transfer together! (: haha I apologize about the trickin it was necessary. 😜

Alright so last Monday was solid. As you know we hiked all over the place in the woods of Abergele by the castle taking about a thousand pictures. It was a real good time. Our last p day with Elder Raven in our midst. 😢 he will always be a member of #rhylbois though. Haha. (: he will be going to Lancaster by the way. Elder Cepeda's new companion will be Elder Humphries! From my mtc group! I'm so excited he is a legend. 😁

Another pic from last week.

Tuesday we had a district meeting here in Rhyl. Me and elder Jensen have a training on how to help people resolve concerns. I thought it went really well. We talked about how you do everything you can and really listen and follow the spirit in response but in the end it all comes down to them reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. Whether it is an investigator, a recent convert, a less active member, a life long member, a member struggling with their faith, everything comes down to the Book of Mormon. This has been in my head a lot lately. Like Jeffrey R Holland said "nobody can leave the church except going around, under, or over the Book of Mormon." It is true. And that will not change. Nobody will ever fall away from the church unless they stop reading the Book of Mormon. Haha so there is my little rant. 😌 we had a great street display that afternoon as a district. Went quite well. (: we saw Carl that night and it was fun as always. Had a great lesson about the church's light the world campaign. It was solid.

Yeah.

Wednesday was our first five weeks meeting! For the trainers and trainees. Where the trainers say good things about the trainees and the trainees bash their trainers. Haha not quite like that but that is a little part of it.  The meeting was sooo good! Left 6 in the morning and got back a bit after nine. Super long day but super solid day as well. I enjoyed it a lot. (:
Thursday was weekly planning day. It was good. I feel like I say that in every single email. Those exact words. 😂 haha there's never a lot to say about it. Afterwards we were finally able to see a recent convert of the Rhyl ward Yasmin! I honestly hadn't seen her in 2 months. She is crazy busy with work so it's hard for her to come to church let alone talk to us. So it was great to see her. The afternoon was good we did some tracting and such. We saw a less active lady Paulene. She is super nice. After he we saw Graham and Chez. They are one of my fav fams on the planet. Haha the Mitchell's madhouse. They are so great. (:

Friday we did some tracting and it was pretty good. We met a man whose been to heaven and Marilyn Monroe and Elvis often appear to him in his room at night. So that was interesting. He accepted a baptismal invite though so you never know. (: We had tea with Sian and Rob that night and it was solid as per usual. They the bomb. (: So then we went and saw another investigator. He answered the door and we said hello and the usual sort of stuff. We asked if he had read the Book of Mormon and he said he read the chapter we left him. We asked if he prayed and he started crying and trying to give us the Book back. We told him we wanted him to keep it and he slammed the door on us. So not really sure what's going on there, we will keep trying with him.

Saturday we had a great street display with the other elders. Met a lot of great people and some crazies as well. I can't really remember what else we did so haha that's all you get.

4 dudes cooking in the dark in a small kitchen because the lightbulb is out.
And it gets dark at like 3 o'clock here.😂
Sunday was good as well. Had church, tried by loads of people, had tea with the other elders, blitzed an area with them. Last time with elder raven. 😢 we got transfer calls that night and learned we'd both be staying. 😁 excited.

Inside the castle.

Yesterday (Monday) we cleaned the flat for 2 hours. We went HAMburglar on our flat it's looking mad good. We tracted, then had tea with the Morris fam. It was super fun and good. We saw Sabrina and Carson and Dave then went and said goodbye to the ravester. He's gonna kill it in Lancaster.

Today has been a solid p day! Me and elder Jensen bought loads of food and accessories to build a Christmas tree. I will send a pic next week when we are done. We went to Rhuddlan castle and it was way fun. Then we worked on our Christmas tree for a bit and are now emailing. (: I hope you all have a killer week! Keep it Rhyl for me! Love you all!

A week--it had some stuff in it I'm pretty sure

Most enjoyable.

Hello all! Its been a pretty killer week! Monday funday was quite solid last week! Played some pool and got up to the usual shenanigans. Always good times. (:

Tuesday we had district meeting as per usual and it was quite good asper usual. The zone leaders made a sneak attack on our district meeting so that was good as well haha. They rest of the day was good we reacted in Prestatyn and met this super solid dude named Scott. Unfortunately he was at his mates for the day and doesn't live in our area. But he accepted a baptismal invitation so hopefully the missionaries in Chester can help him progress. (: We had tea with Graham and Chez that night which was good, we had gammon with pineapple and egg and chips. Super good. I enjoyed it immensely. We also saw Carl and Cassie that night and had some mad good hot chocolate. They're great. (:

Ah yeeeeh.

Wednesday we put in some solid tracting but didn't really find anyone who's interested. That night we met with this lady named Josie and her niece Danielle. Apparently Josie has been going to church for 20 years and hasn't been baptised. A member of the ward told us she is afraid of water. She told us she hasn't made up her mind yet. They are super super nice so we will have to keep helping them out and try to figure out just how we can help them. Then we had a lesson with this man named Steve. He writes his own music and so we were asking him about that and he put some on while we were talking. Haha that was pretty funny, sounded good. We tried to start teaching the restoration but he's just one of those people who wants to tell us everything they think, over and over and over again. He's the nicest man though. We need to just force the restoration on him. 😂 he also started smoking while we were there at his house so that wasn't the most pleasant. He's great though and he has the biggest Labrador I have ever seen. Such a solid dog. I want it. 😉 wink to the parents.

Is this how you ride one of these things?

Thursday was good, we had 2 appointments with investigators fall through which was kinda lame but is all good. (: we met this man named Danny while tracting. So nice. We talked to him for almost an hour on his doorstep. Way solid. We talked about loads of stuff and was super interested. Haha he also told us about in revelations it talks about the mark of the beast will be on the right wrist and will make so people don't have to buy or sell. (I looked it up afterwards) he then told us how somebody is making some sort of chip for the wrist that holds all your info and credit cards and stuff. He was like "awfully close for me, that's the mark of the beast" haha it was pretty funny. He might sound crazy but he definitely wasn't. Food for thought I guess. 😂 that night we went with our ward mission leader brother Lowe to Sian and Robs for continuing the new member lesson. It was super good and very led by the spirit. Its always great to have brother Lowe because he just straight kills it.

Preach it from the trees.

Friday we went to Mostyn and had 3 appointments with investigators fall through. That was lame. But still all good. We took a quick break after like 2 hours of tracting with nothing and swung on the swings for a bit. (: good times. Pics to follow. 😜 we had tea with Sian and Rob as well and that was great. Saturday we had a street display with the other elders. It went pretty good. It had been a while since we had done one so that was fun. That night we had an appointment with this lady Hilary who we kind of dropped for like 3 months but thought to give it another shot. It actually went quite well. Taught the restoration and it definitely went better than when we taught her a while ago. We saw Tina that night as well and that was great. Sunday was good.

Not weird.

After that we went and caught Peter in. I was sick of him not following through with things so I invited ourselves in. 😂 It worked out quite nicely though. We had another super spiritual lesson and taught the restoration. It helped him quite a bit. He is a quiet man and quite the hoarder. There wasn't even a place for us to sit so we had a standing lesson haha. (: he said he's done things in his life that he has felt like the worst person on the planet for so it was perfect to lead into baptism. I asked him what it would mean to him to be free from every single one of those feelings. He exclaimed quite loudly "it'd be bloody wonderful!!!" Haha it was hilarious. He agreed to be baptised and we are going to work towards the 21st of December. Exciting! (:

Cave starin'

Monday funday has been quite solid we went and hiked around Abergele woods and took about 3000 pictures in our bro photo shoots. That's where it's at. This morning during my personal study I started the Book of Mormon again. Ive read it a billion times but the first line really stood out to me today. The keystone of the true church of Jesus Christ starts out with, "I Nephi having been born of goodly parents." That stood out to me so much. Its the first thing that is in the Book of Mormon. It must be pretty [important]. I was just thinking of how grateful I am to be able to say, I Dallen having been born of goodly parents. (: thanks for all you do parents. You are the greatest people on the planet. I hope you all have a killer week love you all!

A week of some good

Hello everybody! Hope you are all doing amazing! We have had a great week lots o finding again but it has been most solid. Last Monday fun day we just chilled about did some shopping and stuff. It was raining crazy hard all day long. At 6 o clock we headed out for some tracting. Silly me forgot to use my brain when buying a coat and didn't buy a waterproof one. I was completely one hundred percent soaked by 8 when we went and visited Sabrina and Carson. It was a good time. Quite the storm. 😂

Just summited. (Not on a bus.) 😜

Tuesday we had district meeting which was solid. We now have a Welsh senior couple in our district! It is good to have them here. They gave us all some good chocolate stuff. (: Chocolate Swiss roll or something. We had some good pingin and pongin during lunch. We had a good rest of our day and met some nice people. It was quite good. (:

Wednesday we went to Mostyn. We did some tracting in Rhyl that morning before we went. We got there and went to our investigator John's home for the appointment we had with him. A Book of Mormon was sitting on the porch and nobody answered. 😐 that was major lame. Our other investigator Peter wasn't home for his appointment either. We went to a nearby town to try and find this pub to get some food. It was prolly a half hour walk there. The pub didn't even exist anymore. Kinda lame our day wasn't really turning out super well. We did some tracting but weren't feeling it at all in this little town. We said a prayer and asked what we should do. We finished our prayer and immediately up pulled a bus that would take us back to Mostyn. Haha we were like there's our answer and hopped on the bus. We had a dinner from a convenience store of chocolate muffins and Dr Pepper. I didn't feel super good afterward. 😂

I bought it even though I can't wear it for 20 more months.😂

We then went and tried by Peter again. He was home but told us that he was wasting our time and wasn't sure if he believed in God anymore. We talked for a bit and told him he definitely wasn't wasting our time. I felt like I should talk about how we can all see our loved ones again, and how sometimes we feel like they leave this life too soon. He started crying and said that's what happened. The spirit was super super strong and we testified that we really can see and live with them again. We acknowledged the spirit that was there and told him that was God telling us the truth. Peter seemed pretty touched and agreed to have us back on Friday. It was pretty amazing. We went to try by John again after that and he was home and apologised that he hadn't been there. He thought we were only coming to take back the Book. 😂 haha he was happy to learn that he could keep it cause he had enjoyed reading it. He also agreed to have us back on Friday. So that was super solid. (:

Late night hedgehog we found.

Thursday was weekly pizza/planning day. It was good. We went to Prestatyn after that to do some tracting. We went through this wooded path as a shortcut and elder Jensen went down in some mad mud. Mad down. Ah I felt way bad for him his suit was covered in mud. 😂 so we went back to the bus station and snagged a bus back. Wrong bus. /: it took an extra half hour. Haha the day was just not going our way.
The suit pants.

The McAllisters had us over for thanksgiving dinner that night. Sister McAllister and her son moved here from California a couple months ago and her husband and other son are still living in California. They were visiting from Cali though so they were all there. It was way solid. Still got to have thanksgiving which is like the best holiday, the whole world should celebrate it I think. Their son Daniel the one who still lives in Cali is a legend. Him and his friends literally just hang out at the circle k all the time. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about, you are most excellent. (: it was great.

Friday we went to Mostyn and did some tracting. Neither Peter or John showed up for their appointments. /: that was pretty lame but whatever. We met this lady Emma who was super crazy interested and said she felt drawn towards the book we gave her. She was so solid. Unfortunately she called us this morning and had read all about mormons in the internet and her husband had kind of said no. So that was major lame. All good though, someday. (: We had tea with Sian and Rob that night, and it was bomb as always. They are the best.

Saturday 'twas good we went to a town called st Asaph with the other elders. We met some nice people so it was good. We were having tea at our flat that night and we're getting a bit rowdy. Elder Cepeda had been talking about where kidneys are. I punched him in the kidney during the rough housing. He said "ow you punched me in the kidney!!!... I think..." haha it was hilarious. 😂 never a dull moment. We saw Tina that night and it was great to see her. She is the best.

Homemade pizzas. Elders Edwards, Jensen, Cepeda, & Raven.

Sunday was good as well, had church as per usual and one of our investies who we had an appointment with cancelled. We have the curse of the investigators who will never show their faces after the first time we meet them. 😂 it's all good though we just keep working hard and not getting discouraged. (:

Monday funday has been good so far, we played pool with Elders Cepeda and Raven and are now chilling in the chapel. I love you all and hope you have a killer week. (:

Finding for days

Hello all! So I'm just going to apologize for this email right now, my email time is basically up (oops). I'll try my best to make it entertaining. We did 34 hours of finding. Which is loads. So there's not a lot to report.

Tuesday we had a zone meeting and it was super good. Zone meetings are always good it's good to see everyone. We did a lot of finding that night and met a lot of nice people. We saw Carl and Cassie as well.

Wednesday we basically did finding all day. We had tea at the Yensons which was super good. They are a great family. We did more finding.

Thursday was weekly planning and pizza day. We did loads more finding. We had tea with bishop that night and it was great. We were looking at my ancestors from wales and one of them had a crazy solid goatee. Like crazy solid. I hope I can have a goatee like him one day. My dad kills the goatee game. We went with brother Lowe to do the after baptism lessons for Sian and Rob and it was super good. They are the best family ever.

John Edwards, my glorious goatee ancestor from Wales. (:
So glad to be in the land of my ancestors!

Friday was amazing! We got four new investigators! We had been tracting for a while and finished our streets. We started walking back to the flat for lunch and I thought we should tract the last 2 houses on some random street. We met this kid Bradley! He was super solid and so interested and took a Book of Mormon. He didn't show up to church though hopefully we will see him soon though. Pretty amazing how the spirit gives promptings. The rest of the day was super good, got 3 more investigators and had tea at Sian and Robs. The food was soooo good. Chinese again. Heck yah.
Duck face. Oh fresh hair cut by the way. haha (:

Saturday night we went on splits with the other elders in Rhyl. Me and Elder Cepeda went together. We talked to this man who said he wasn't interested then said he was catholic. Elder cepeda was like oh I'm Irish. So I butted in and said "and I'm american!". Haha he was going to say something about Ireland and Catholics but I ruined it for him. Oops. It was hilarious though. We also got a super nice investigator for Elder Cepeda and Raven named Sheryl. They will be seeing her on Wednesday. Hopefully it goes good for them. Sunday was great, Rob got the priesthood! What a straight legend. So pumped for that family. (: We had tea that night with graham and chez and it was good. Its always nice to go to their house for some good laughs, them and the kids are hilarious.

Monday funday. (:

Things are going super good with me and elder Jensen! He is a super hard worker and is improving so much! He is killing it! We're having loads of fun and really enjoying the work here. Grateful to be serving with him. Oh yeah also we got fish n chips again. It just wouldn't be a letter from me if I didn't talk about glorious fish n chips. 😜

There was a bit on Elder Cepeda's planner that made me laugh really hard.
See if you can tell where it is.😂

Monday funday has been good so far, were about to leave the chapel and go play some pool. Things got a bit out of hand and me and Elder Cepeda were fighting a little bit and I was laughing so hard I got a hernia. I have a headache from laughing. I will make sure to have a better email next week! The work goes so good here in Rhyl and I am glad to be here testifying of Jesus Christ. He lives! I love you all have an amazing week.

Dad life 👨‍👦 (I'm the little one in front)

Elder Edwards and Elder Jensen.

Helloooo everybody! What a crazy and killer week this has been! The first couple of days were just mad traveling pretty much everywhere in the mission. You already heard this but got my new companion at transfer meeting Elder Jensen. He is the bomb. Super nice and fun and is here to work hard and be obedient. We are having a really good time so far. We killed the heck outta Rhyl this week. 😜

Wednesday was full of loads of finding. We've really done a lot of finding this week. Not too much to report. We actually met loads of interested people and a lot of them want us to come back. This one man took us to his car to show us a UFO magazine from the sixties so he could prove there was pyramids on mars. Sure looked a heck of a lot like a normal mountain to me. He was a good man. I learned a lot about aliens. 👽 We had tea with our amazing ward mission leader brolo (brother Lowe). Him and his family are just the greatest, so supportive of us missionaries and so willing to help us out with anything really. Brother Lowe is the most in tune with the spirit out of anyone I have ever met. He is amazing. We went to our investigator Steve that night. Steve is uhhh.... quite opinionated. Next time we go we just need to say hey you've done loads of talking now we are going to teach you something. He's super nice and I actually think he'll respond well to us saying that. See how it goes. Good man.

Elder Korth's posterity. Look I gained a couple inches and am as tall as Elder Korth now! Oh yeah haha I forgot to bring an extra shirt to the baptism. So I was pretty wet underneath that suit coat. 😂😂

Thursday I introduced Elder Jensen to weekly planning/pizza day. Elder Korth your tradition will live on. Can't go wrong in life if you have weekly pizza day. We did loads more finding that day and it was very similar to the day before. Just teaching tons of lessons and tons of people who are actually interested in what we have to say. And people who want us to come back as well. Ahhh yeah. 😎 things are going so great, we are working super hard and elder Jensen is getting adjusted quickly. We had tea with Sian and Rob that night. They are just the best people on the planet. Rob is the man. 120%.

Friday Elder Jensen got the best food he will ever have ever which is fish n chips from the place right next to our flat. He loved it. I loved it. I don't think I will ever get sick of fish n chips. Elders Cepeda and Raven joined us as well. It was a real good time. We all went to saint asaph a nearby town for blitzing an area. Me and Elder Cepeda went on splits together and met a ton more people who actually listened to us. Elder Cepeda is the man we have good times. He's moving to Utah. He already told me. Gonna be bomb.

Twinning is winning. (with Elder Cepeda)

Saturday we had a street display with the other elders. We had lunch at their mansion first. Bread wars have kind of just become a casual thing between me and Elder Cepeda. The street display went super good I met so many nice and open minded people. Elder Jensen just brought the teaching fire with him this week or something because so many people have been listening to us. Its been bomb. He also brought a whole lotta rain with him. Its really been coming down haha. ☔️

Rob!!!!
Saturday night we had Rob's baptism!!! He had asked me perform the baptism. Seeing these baptisms these past couple weeks has been just incredible. Baptising Rob was another amazing experience. He, much like Sian, came up out of the water with just the biggest infectious smile. I seriously feel so lucky to have met him. He is a great friend now, and has seriously changed so much since Sian's baptism. Ah I have nothing but the best of things to say about Sian and Rob. They are truly the best. (: oh yeah Elder Korth and his companion came down for the baptism. So good to see him again. (: I had a killer time serving here in Rhyl with him. What a legend. (:

Elder Edwards, Rob, Sian, and Elder Jensen.

Sunday was Remembrance Sunday. They had a really nice service at a memorial in Rhyl. Remembrance Sunday is just all about remembering and honoring the people who fought and died in the wars. Our bishop put a wreath on the memorial in behalf of the church. During sacrament meeting I was thinking about my grandpas brother Martin Edwards whose plane went down in world war 2. It never really clicked for me before but I realized how grateful I really am to him for going to war to defend his family and me as well. The spirit came over me super strong and I just knew that he looks out for our whole family. It was a really neat experience. So grateful for the people who have fought to defend our country. We did some tracting that afternoon and met loads more interested people. Doors have really been opening this week with people and I am excited to keep working hard and help bring happiness into these people's lives.

P-day shopping.

Today was p day or Monday fun day as Elder Cepeda has started calling it. Haha we just went and shopped for some winter stuff and had subway and are now chillin at the chapel. Good times. (: I hope you all have an amazing week! The church is true, and if we are reading his word and praying with all our hearts there is no way we will ever forget that. I love you all!!

-Elder Dallen Edwards

Unfortunately I didn't buy it.

I'm a dad! (Mission terms that is)

Hello everyone! My subject kind of gives away the news but I will save transfer info for the end. (: we had such a killer week! Monday was a good p day on Halloween, we did some shopping and ate at subway and such. The Wades had us and the other elders over that night for tea and pumpkin carving with their kids. It was a blast! We aren't allowed to be out on Halloween after 5 unless a member has us over and gives us lifts. So that was super solid. That family is the best.

Tuesday we had district meeting in the morning. Elder korth wasn't feeling good so after district meeting he called Sister Ulrich cause he felt like he was going to throw up. So she told him to go back to the flat so we spent the afternoon at the flat. chillin. 😜 He was feeling better enough that night to go to Sian's. She fed us glorious food and there was loads of it. I had like 5 steaks. Mmmm.

Dinner at Sian's house. She cooked up 18 steaks to feed 4 missionaries.

Wednesday we did some solid tracting for a good portion of the day. Nobody was much interested. We had tea that night with David and Debbie again and they came with us to Tina's for a lesson. Well not really a lesson just planning her baptism. Super solid. She is the best.

Thursday was weekly planning/pizza day. We did some tracting before we went to the chapel to get everything ready for the baptism. Elder Korth did the baptism for Tina. The whole service was really great and had such a good spirit. I am so excited for Tina. Teaching her has been a breeze, she was just the golden investigator. She taught us as well. She will make such an amazing addition to the church/ward and I couldn't be happier for her. The gospel truly does bless lives. Seeing people come unto Christ brings so much happiness. (:

Elder Korth, Tina, and Elder Edwards.

Friday we went to a nearby town with the other elders to have lunch and tract for an afternoon. Me and Elder Cepeda went together. We had a really good time, met some nice people but they weren't too interested. We had tea that night with our ward mission leader brother Lowe. He is so solid, so engaged and passionate about the work. I want him to be the ward mission leader in all my next areas as well. (: He came with us to Sian and Rob's house. We reviewed the baptism questions with Rob and just had a really nice conversation about everything. Rob is like a changed man. It is pretty incredible.

Elder Edwards with Brother Lowe, Rhyl ward mission leader.

Saturday we had a street display. I saw a man walking slowly towards the display so I went and started talking to him. He told me he was a Christian and Pentecostal. I said oh nice and asked him if there was a church in Rhyl. He said yeah and I asked if he had seen our church in Rhyl. He said some mean things about how he wouldn't go near it. He pointed at the Book of Mormon and said that is heracy and has nothing to do with god. I said it has everything to do with god. I was being really patient and pleasant but when I said that he went into a little fit of rage like a 4 year old and grabbed a pamphlet out of my hand and started trying to rip it up. I said sir what are you doing you are being really childish. He continued to throw his fit and ripped up my pamphlet then stormed off. It was pretty entertaining seeing a grown man in his 60's act like that. Kids, don't be like the man in the street. 😜 We headed to Colwyn Bay for Rob's interview. Rob was there looking sharp in nice slacks and button up shirt. He passed! We are so excited! They took us to KFC afterwards. We street contacted for an hour then had to be in the flat for the rest of the night because it was bonfire night.

Deuces Elder Korth. It's been Rhyl. (:

Sunday was great! I got to confirm Tina in sacrament meeting. What an amazing experience. Its pretty amazing having nothing in your head before a blessing but then being given what to say in the very moment through the spirit. And it will be exactly what the lord wants this person to hear. In this case being Tina. (: she is the best ever. So a couple weeks ago president told me in my interview he was thinking about me to be a trainer. So it's been in my mind a bit. Transfer calls are Sunday at 5-6 at night usually. But if you are training he calls you Friday or Saturday. We didn't get a call so I was like oh I'm not training. But at 4 o'clock on Sunday I got a call from president and he asked me to be a trainer here in Rhyl. What. Super super exciting but also a little scary. I am super excited. We are having a train the trainers meeting tonight at the mission home then will be getting our new companions tomorrow at transfer meeting. Gonna be so solid. Its been so great serving here in Rhyl with Elder Korth and I am glad to be staying. He is super solid. He will be whitewashing into St. Helens with Elder Kellogg. He is excited to be going back to Liverpool zone. They'll kill it. (: We went to the fireside where recent converts speak with rob and bro Lowe that night. It was super good. Rob loved it and definitely felt the spirit. He wants to go again. He is seriously just the man.

Email time. (:

Right now we are on a train to meet some missionaries so Elder Korth can stay in Wigan with an elder and that elders companion will come with me to train the trainers. I'm not sure if I will send my emails today or tomorrow after I get my companion so I may or may not add more to my email.
I know this church is true and am so glad to be a missionary who represents Jesus Christ. I am so excited to continue the work in Rhyl working together with my new companion. Its going to be solid! I love you all have a great week!

Elders Korth, Edwards, and Kofoed.

Well I never got a chance to email this and I now have my new companion! We had a train the trainers meetings last night in the mission home and it was super good. Afterwards me, Elder Liss, Elder Webb, and Elder Vincent spent the night at the ap's flat. The next morning elder Webb drove us to transfer meeting and what would take normally a 10 minute drive took us 2 hours because the sat nav kept leading us astray. It was a real good time though. Those were some of the other trainers and elder Webb and Vincent are both from my group. We got our companions! My new companion is Elder Jensen from Blackfoot Idaho. He is 6 foot 7. 😳 Good thing I am tall as well. 😂 I am looking forward to this new transfer it is going to be killer! I love you all!

Cops, crimes, and baptisms

Hello all! Don't worry the subject of this email will be explained fully. (: and we didn't commit any crimes I'll just get that outta the way rn. 😜 this week has been absolutely amazing! I can't wait for you all to hear everything about it! 😁 also I have mad loads of pictures. Hope you enjoy them.

A crazy cathedral in Chester.

Monday was super fun! Tom, a member of our ward, drove us to Chester in his tiny little car. We hung out with him and did some shopping then he had to leave. We met up with a bunch of other missionaries. It was super fun we had a great time. (:

Tom's tiny car. (:
Tuesday we had a street display which is always good. Afterward I went to Colwyn Bay for exchange with Elder Chilpagiri. Trainees ruling the area! It was a blast, we got a couple new investigators for his area and saw a less active family. The mom was crazy drunk. She really wanted me to meet her son because she thought the gospel would be good for him and he's really into parkour and flips and stuff. She was really sad to learn that I'm not actually in that area. Hopefully I can meet him on exchange there again. Elder Chilpagiri is the man. He's hilarious and we had a great time.

Exchanges. (:

Wednesday we exchanged back. I honestly don't remember what else we did that day. Here is where crimes comes in: somebody got murdered in Rhyl either Tuesday night or Wednesday night. At 7 o'clock. We stay out till 9 every night. That's pretty mad. Rhyl can be a sketchy place. But we try to stay away from dodgy areas at night.

Traveling through the darkness to Sian's house one time. (:

Thursday was weekly pizza day and my three month mark! Score! 😁 Me and elder Korth had tea with David and Debbie. They are super great, it was really fun. They joined us for a lesson with Tina. We taught tithing and it went really well. She was very willing to live it. (: She is amazing, seriously so good. Very excited for her baptism.
Friday we had a street display which went really good as well. I enjoy street displays. A really good way to talk to loads of people in a small amount of time. We went to Sian's that night for her pre-baptism feast. She cooked loads and loads of Chinese food and it was all the best things I have ever eaten in the entirety of my entire life. My mouth is watering rn just thinking about it. Sian is the best, we always feel so so welcome in her home. Rob is the bomb too, they are just really great people.

Sian's house. Her dog Keke is my favorite thing on the planet.

Saturday we went to the chapel and started filling the font for Sian's baptism. We made the program as well. It took us ages. Me and elder Korth aren't very good at that type of thing. When Sian arrived for her baptism she was smiling ear to ear. She was bouncing up and down and was just so excited. Her excitement was infectious for all there. (: I changed into my white clothes and when I came out she said "wow! You look really cool! Like Elvis or something!" Haha she is hilarious. After the baptism talk when the time came for her baptism she basically ran to the font. I was a bit nervous to be preforming the baptism just hoping I would do it right and everything. But when I began it was just like somebody took over. It was as if Jesus Christ himself was there baptising her. It was such an amazing and humbling experience to be the representative of Jesus Christ for Sian's baptism. When she came out of the water she just had the biggest smile on her face. She thanked me and was just so excited and happy. Walking out of the font she said can we just go back and do that again? She is amazing.

Sian's baptism.

It has truly been such an amazing experience watching her journey coming into Christ. I really have felt humbled and so lucky to have been able to teach her and feel of her spirit. This was one of the greatest moments in my life thus far. (:  After her baptism Tina had her baptismal interview. She passed no problem. She will be baptised this Thursday!! 😁 so excited, the ward had a little get together medieval party afterwards. We stayed for a bit and played some football and tug of war and stuff. It was a really good time. Sunday we had Sian's confirmation in church! It was so great. She was smiling so brightly yet again. It has been such a pleasure teaching her. (: the rest of church was great.

Elders Cepeda and Raven came to our flat for lunch. We had an entire loaf of bread that expired the next day. Elder Cepeda was getting himself a drink and I hurled a piece of bread right at his face. A full out bread war ensued. I'm pretty sure I got a hernia from laughing so hard. That night me and Elder Korth were tracting. It was about 7 but dark already. The cops pulled up. Haha somebody called the cops on us. He was super nice though and just said it's probably not a good idea to be knocking when it's dark. So that was a good time. (:

Elder Raven. No explanation needed.

That night we were doing our training extra hour of study and Elder Korth had the phone. He checked a text and kinda started flipping out. I was like what is going on. He tossed me the phone and this is what the text from Sian said, "I have the most amazing news. Rob wants to be baptised!!!!!" We were just blown away and so so excited. Rob never showed much interest during the lessons but he must have really felt the spirit at her baptism. When Sian was texting us Rob was on the phone with his dad to give him all his alcohol. He had already thrown away all his tea and coffee. We could hardly believe it. He wants to be baptized as soon as possible so we are thinking a week from this Saturday.

Elder Korth, Rob, Sian, Elder Edwards

It has been absolutely amazing seeing these miracles this weekend. I feel so lucky and blessed to be here. I love this work. I love this church. I know it's true. I haven't been here long but I have already seen lives changed and it is absolutely incredible. I know that there is no greater thing on this planet than the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I feel so humbled to have been a witness of these miracles. I hope you all have an amazing week! Love you all!

Missionaries.

Heck yes!
